sagma I really love the whole album, which may be my favourite synthwave one. Favorite track: Erinyes: II. And We Will Dance Around The Pyre.

1.
As saviours they posed, And stripped the world of its name − Snow over ruins.
2.
Faint heartbeats echo, A truth becomes deafening − "No more", sings the wind.
3.
Boots on a table: Promises of reprisal For a life stolen.
4.
The world shall turn red − From the fire in our hearts Or blood in our veins.
5.
Smouldering ashes In the hearth of defiance − Flames mask all around.
6.
For all the faithful Who shall not live to witness The world they fought for.
7.
Behold the titan − So invincible he seemed − As he takes a knee.
8.
A triumphant dawn Sheds light on the promises Of more fights to come.

about

3090 A.D., Earth:
MyriasG Inc., a multibillion dollar megacorp, develops the technology to manufacture faster-than-light spaceship engines, and thus gains a monopoly on space travel.
Although there is skepticism amongst activists exposing the company's lack of respect for workers' rights and dubious ties to several governments, relocating humanity to better worlds, a pressing issue as Earth's ressources dangerously dwindle, is now within the realm of possibility.
There is hope for the human race.

3128 A.D.:
Humans are no longer confined to a dying Earth.
Only the poorest of the poor now still reside there, and most of the less poor hardly ever set foot on an exoplanet, doomed to work on ship maintenance.
Governments never set aside their differences. In less than 40 years, what used to be countries became intergalactic empires at war, competing for expansion.
MyriasG's dominion over research and exploration has made its power rise to that of a god, puppeteering humanity's leaders.

3162 A.D., Igojin (2MASS J23062928-0502285 e):
Hundreds of spaceships with an argent, gule and azure blazon blacken the skies of the exoplanet TRAPPIST-1e, called Igojin by its native peoples, who look up in horror.
They call themselves the Comsreg Empire, and despite their low numbers, their military power is far more developped.
The invaders nearly wipe everyone out. They impose their language, and rename their lands.
The Comsregians bring with them MyriasG, which establishes its utter control of the planet's ressources.
So begins the darkest point in the history of the newly rebaptised human colony: Neo-Terra.

"IGOJIN" is a concept album set in 3720 A.D., Neo-Terra, and focuses on the first episode of the progressive insurrection of the allied Igojini native people, led by the once vast Samarieni, Uttua, and Izara clans, after over 500 years of oppression by the Comsreg Empire: a large-scale terrorist attack targetting MyriasG's several headquarter buildings scattered across the planet.

/////

"IGOJIN" was composed and produced entirely during December 2020 and influenced musically by synthwave/darksynth artists such as Perturbator, Scandroid, Carpenter Brut, etc. and conceptually by the Japanese cyberpunk movement from the 80's and 90's.

"ネオーTERRA" (Neo-Terra) is a nod to "ネオ東京" (Neo-Tokyo) from Akira by Katsuhiro Otomo, "Whispers Of The Righteous" alludes to Masamune Shirow's Ghost In The Shell, and "Requiem For A False God" references Yasuyuki Ueda's 1998 experimental anime series "Serial Experiments Lain".
